Since 2005, EcoSchools Canada's award-winning certification program has provided schools and outdoor education centers with an autonomous process of verification and recognition. Reaching approximately 1 million students each year, we are Canada's largest bilingual, voluntary environmental certification program for K-12 schools.

We strengthen engagement at all levels of education sectors - from students and teachers, administrative staff and parents - through training workshops and webinars, annual conferences, educational resources and national campaigns.

Participating schools monitor their individual and collective impact on our custom-designed bilingual certification platform. The platform collects data on the impact of schools, allowing them to assess their progress from one year to the next and to compare their success within the national EcoSchools network. EcoSchools Canada is the Canadian national operator of the international EcoSchools program, overseen by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). FEE is supported by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Like the international program, EcoSchools Canada is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As an affiliate member of FEE, EcoSchools Canada is part of a community of 70 other national EcoSchools programs around the world.

Our workplace is a dynamic, open, creative and collaborative environment where you will be part of a small growing team of 12 people - a fun and passionate group committed to sustainable environmental change.
